This would potentially be a good fight but only in the early rounds until Zhang's stamina gives out, Vitali presses and cruises to a clear decision...
Competitive for the first 6 rounds then Vitali's superior conditioning/workrate comes into play and he runs away with the decision.
Zhang dangerous early but Vitali's distance control is so impeccable that he should be able to exit the early rounds without too many hassles. When Zhang gasses it's over for him
I like Zhang and he could win a couple early rounds but Vitali's engine and toughness would be too much in the long run.
Honestly, Zhang might KO him. Why? Because Vitali has poor defence against tall fighters and can be hurt. Sanders nailed him good early on and had him backpeddling to the stands. And Vitali has bad stopping power so Zhang might just have a chance to exchange. But Vitali is quicker, better engine, would be more evasive, so could obviously win a UD if he avoided the power early on.
Zhang stops him. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Vitali was good but he was overrated. He didn’t beat anyone that suggests he’d have an easy time with a 6’6 280lb murderous puncher with KO power in both hands. Vitali tastes his power a few times then quits around the mid-rounds. We’ve also never seen Zhang even remotely buzzed or damaged despite taking flush shots from Joyce and Parker, so for all the talk of Vitali’s iron chin (which tbf was a good chin), Zhang’s might be even better.
