Before the Hrgovic and Joshua wins I would have said 100% Zhang and even now I think his aggressive style plays into the hands of Zhang. But it isn't impossible that Dubois is able to survive some hellish moments to grind out a win. Dubois is improving with each fight, he isn't half as easy to hit as before since learning to move his head and roll with shots and he seems to have picked out counter punching in this last camp for AJ too, so he'll be dangerous. If it happens next I am still leaning to Zhang but who knows what else Dubois will pick up in time. A year from now Dubois might have made another leap in ability and be too much for an aging Zhang by then. You can't right Dubois off because he's shown he can raise his level now when needed.
Dubois, he will be too accurate with the jab imo and his defence certainly seems to have improved. It’s a good fight though.
Dubois showed last night that he has the speed, the urgency and the explosiveness that would be a nightmare for treacle slow Zhang
I like Zhang but his best wins have all been against fighters past their prime. Not knocking him for it as he's an old man himself. However a young fighter like Dubois who appears to be hitting his peak form... I think Dubois probably beats him over 12 rounds if he can survive the first 4 or 5 round onslaught. Great fight though in theory. Not enough interest with the casuals go make it happen unfortunately.
The thing that baffled me last night was how fast Dubois looked compared to AJ, lots of people have mentioned his speed in this fight, when going in it was AJ who was seen as faster, but AJ indeed looked slow. Dubois has never had fast hands apart from his jab, whenever he's unloaded he's looked slow but he was looking like Joshua Buatsi did vs Hutchinson in their with how sharp and crisp his combo's where. But he seems to be throwing his right hand straighter now, he still arcs it sometimes like we saw with the first knock down but the KO shot was a short crisp, right hand. Credit has to go to his trainer Don Charles he's made so many improvements in Dubois, who before was so basic. The head movement, the greater variety in his shots, the straight right, even counter punching. Dubois also seems more selective with his punches too, knows not to open up in the centre where his planted stance could see him out manoeuvred, only opens up when he has an opponents near the ropes. Danger Zhang poses is he won't be easily backed up, he's huge, is decent inside and his counters are so damn dangerous. It's a fight I'd like to see happen if both keep winning.
This would be a great fight, Dubois has the youth and is on a roll after three consecutive wins, now this fight is really hard to predict, but gun to my head I will choose Dubois because he is fresher and younger and has incredible power...
Some boxing fans may think Dubois is the second coming of George Chuvalo because Joshua didn't starch him, but he's not. His chin is still suspect, and Zhang would expose his lack of punch resistance, brutally so.
