Gaby-elle I always find your pronunciations adorable, and also question my own because of it. Either everyone is getting majority of these names wrong, or you have a silly way of pronouncing foreign names. But top quality stuff as usual. I actually smiled when I recently saw that you were featured on DAZN´s home page. Well earned, hopefully they are paying you a bit, or at least you have a license to use the footage. Also, Zhang has dropped each of his last 10 opponents. Dude is still a unit at 41, and hopefully we see him back in the ring soon.
Those highlights confirmed what I thought the first time I watched this fight, Zhang was looking gassed as early as round 3 and certainly by round 4. Kabayel deserves a shot at Usyk but I doubt he'll get it. , after Usyk fights Dubois I don't think Usyk will fight again this year and if he does it'd be Parker unless Kabayel can get him into the ring in the mean time in a bona fide title eliminator. As for Zhang? That a 41 year old with horrible stamina could be relevant today is testament to the lack of depth in the division. After that beatdown it's difficult to imagine a path forward where he's not eventually cannon fodder. Maybe a comeback fight against Makhmudov .
Zhang was game but could not keep up with the pace Kabayel was setting. Agit “Honey Badgers don’t give a ****” Kabayel has the best stare down in all of Boxing. He did it against Makhmudov and he did it again against Zhang. He goes center ring stares them straight in the face touches gloves and goes to work. He is the most well mannered guy up until that point, but then the niceness is over. Zhang still has the best power punch in the game. I think Usyk should fight Kabayel next. Dubois vs Parker was already setup and there is a backstory to that fight now which makes it more interesting. Parker deserves a title shot and Dubois is his. No reason for Usyk to wait for who the winner is, Kabayel is right there and deserving of a title shot. I would like to see Zhang have a gatekeeper fight next. I am thinking Wardley. Wardley needs a breakthrough fight to enter the Top 10 and him and Zhang will be two power punchers that match up well.
Zhang can still do well if matched carefully. He is a southpaw with strong fundamentals and power. Kabayel was all wrong for him. Great video, BTW.
Another brilliant video from Rummy. We are lucky to have great analysts and content creators like him.
