He'd do better than Joyce but Lewis never faced anyone like Zhang. Only guy of his era similar was Sanders and he never went near him.
Golota had one of the best jabs in the division, was much more mobile, better combination puncher, better body puncher, better gas tank, better inside game, better head movement. Golota-Zhang comparison really doesn't make sense is my point. Both were dangerous because of different factors. Also, Golota was essentially compromised with a painkiller during the Lennox fight. Had seizure and his heart stopped beating for half a minute or so after he collapsed. Not saying he would beat Lewis, but definitely would have lasted longer.
That's because Sanders was never ranked in the top 10 when Lewis was champion, also Sanders fought Rahman and lost thats why Rahman got his shot instead of Sanders.
After Joyce beat Parker he was moved above Foreman on the heavyweight ATG list. So why not move Zhang above Lewis after last night? Tyson too. It's 2023. No way do those ancient heavyweights beat the modern man.
The man who ducked southpaws his entire career.... Corrie Sanders would have beaten Lewis in my honest opinion.
Ruddock, Bruno, Briggs, Rahman, Grant, Morrison. How many heavy hitters were supposed to expose Lewis and ended up on stretchers (with Hasim having the chance of a lifetime with unprepared Lewis trying to be a movie start.) It's concerning how often Lewis is criticized, despite his resume being a small wikipedia of who is who of the 90's heavyweight division.
