This might have been a good springboard for Zhang to finally position himself for some credibility, if he got to Kuzmin before Hunter took his zero and with it swept away the last of his already long-hemorrhaging mystique.
Zhang needed a fight like this two years ago or so, but it’s still a good one. At 36 this is pretty much is a must win fight for him if he ever wants to leave his mark on the division.
It's at the end of that article that shows what's wrong with boxing Butaev v Besputin for a secondary title in Monaco, without much interest being paid to it. Probably top 5 welterweights and nobody really gives a ****. When I say top 5, I am talking about in ring ability, I know the names aren't on the resume yet.
Zhang Junlong is just dead in the water now, isn't he? I wanted to see that national bust up but ah well.
finally I always wondered what happened to the 2 chineese heavyweights that were undefeated and disappeared . wheres the other one?
Kuzmin shouldn't be reflexively written off here, Zhang has never really impressed me all that much. They're both overrated, this is a 50/50 fight, one that I might give Kuzmin the edge in.
There was Taishon Dong as well.. True story: Dong quit boxing to join the WWE but Vince couldn't figure out anything to do with the big goon.
I'm still pissed The Monster Dong called it quits. At least I could endlessly amuse myself during his borefests making shameless infantile penile puns on the RBR's. Although Zhang rhymes with Wang and Kuzmin's head is quite phallic, so... maybe I can work something up.
Kuzmin is going to knock this big clumsy **** out. Oh wait.. I'm thinking of the other 7 foot chinese WWE dude, who the **** is this guy?!
Good points, I agree almost completely. It's just fact that Zhang is getting any decision that can possibly go his way keeps him the favourite IMHO.
