How should Zhang`s fight IQ rate out of 10? Bxng World This content is protected This content is protected
Skill - not very high (relies on same moves) and not alot of variety Power - very high. Uses every pound effectively Gas tank - poor but that's just genetics. Ring IQ - has shown patience and good punch selection required for the situation. That seems to be enough Chin - look at the size of his giant watermelon sized head. Probably insanely good
I don’t know about IQ but his fighting spirit is very high. Joyce was doing all the things that you are supposed to do against a big puncher. He was trying to look cute on his toes and work behind the jab, circle away from the left hand, everything textbook. But is was visible in Zhangs eyes, he came out of the dressing room with evil on his mind and he carried that straight into the fight. He came right at Joyce to knock him out.
Joyce did try to jab but southpaw Zhang looks to have the answer for conventional fighters who depend on their jab. He keeps his right shoulder high, his hands high, his chin down, and he uses his right hand to parry and neutralize the opponent's left jab. Then he fires the straight left and the right hook behind it. I haven't seen him fight much, but if he does the same against all opponents, the opponent's left jab is not going to be effective. The opponent also needs to be able to see and avoid Zhang's straight left hand, and he has an excellent hook coming from his right, where the opponent is not used to seeing it. Add to that. he is huge. Zhang is a dangerous opponent for anybody. The guy has been fighting for a long time and seems to have a high ring IQ, and a style that fits his physical attributes.
I think his IQ is very high because he is not extraordinary fast, he doesn't have huge height and reach advantages compared to his peers, and tires after 8. His footwork is middling and isn't good enough to allow him to have a whole range of attacks. So he has to rely on his enormous power to get the opponent to give him space.
Unsure. He showed good power and accuracy against a very stationary target that everyone lands on. Handspeed is there too.
I'm not impressed by his IQ. I've seen nothing special. He fights like a southpaw. Every successful southpaw fights like that, because that's how southpaws fight. He has a good IQ, a good understanding of boxing. That's good. But nothing really special or mindblowing. Just the IQ of a good southpaw with great amateur career and a whole life devoted to boxing. He does what he has to do. Nothing less, nothing more. He can be proud of his boxing. You can a be a good and proud painter without the need of being michelangelo buonarroti, velazquez or pablo picasso.
Elevated to the category of myth and legend, perhaps less well known is the fact that various sources attribute an IQ of 165 to Monroe, five points higher than that of Albert Einstein himself.
