Tbf AJ never ducked anyone. Fury and wilder on the other hand are notorious ducks.

So Frazier was chubby at 205?
I wonder what hallucinogens' you are on! :smoking: Or what you are smoking...
Here he is at 205.5 for FOTC. Look at him when introduced, in motion, even slumped down on his stool
I do not fathom how you can see this man as overweight.

This has still been the best era of boxing since the 90's.

Absolutely. There is a reason for the old saying “what should be done withSouthpaws and an old boxing trainer says they should be shot at birth”. A bit extreme but we must say that Queensbury promotion did stupid matchmaking making this fight for Joyce who was guaranteed a world title shot. Dillian Whyte would have been a much better choice for Joyce and for much more money. Joyce looked like he had never fought a southpaw before.

Tin hat on but I get where the OP’s coming from.
Most of the heavies today I just see as big plodding guys in a lot of cases out of shape big plodding guys.
Usyk and Fury apart I don’t see great skill I think most of the heavies from Foreman’s and Frazier’s era were much more rounded.
Who would beat who well obviously size comes into play but really are any of today’s heavies other than the usual two suspects greater heavies than a Frazier or a Foreman?
At the end of the day they’re just big.

Why did Big Joe hook up with a new S&C coach and come in almost 16lbs lighter than he did for his previous fight when he was facing the biggest, (well, to be fair Donnie Palmer and Ustinov are bigger than Big Bang albeit they posed little threat) hardest hitting opponent of his career? Physically he looked in the best shape we've seen him but did that actually translate to him looking stronger, faster and more powerful in the ring? He looked worse to me.

Could his new S&C be a Chinese secret agent?

And why did Big Joe abandon his slickness after coming in that much lighter?

    Questions questions

There it is, his new nickname: Triple Z - he's headed for that pantheon of great sugars: SRR, SRL, & Sugar Valuev.

Always the smaller men are more skillful. Im all for massive behemoths beating on each other, bring on the age of the Super Super heavyweight. 6'5+ 260lbs+ and then occasionaly you will get a Uysk or Holyfield type fighter who can take clown them or outheart them, its rare. No point pretending 6'2 220lb heavyweights are big heavyweights anymore. Plenty of smaller heavyweights have success against big heavyweights.

Guys with 15 or so fights should be in 6- or 8-rounders on undercards learning things like how not to get hit square with every punch.

This has nothing to do with nostalgia as I think HWs way before my time beat these guys too.

You, on the other hand, are clearly infected by size-obsession. Try actually watching fights instead of looking up weights & measurements.
