Godoy comes out looking to now take control of the center of the ring. Battle of the jabs, Turarov getting the better of it, slowly pressures Godoy back into the ropes. Turarov is methodically breaking Godoy down here. Walks him right into the punches he wants to. High level stuff from Turarov. And a big gap in skills.

This whole card was like... not quite total mismatches, but certainly no parity in sight.

Godoy, Villanueva, López, Teran, and Ventura were all pretty much absolutely going to lose today, on paper, unless something insane happened.

The best piece of matchmaking and closest to getting a real test for the A-sides was Kotochigov, followed by Joyce. The rest just cruised, hardly breaking a sweat.

 

Godoy isn't the only one who got kerplunked

 

David Oliver Joyce vs Breilor Teran is showing as a No Contest on Boxrec? And the info reads: "Joyce boxed under New York State Athletic Commission suspension."

What's up with that?

 

I think it's some sort of a mix up. The NYSAC should have no say or effect on a fight in a foreign country.
And those suspensions are just a formality.

Lol now Boxrec has just changed his fight before this one, a TKO over Stephen Tiffney, to a No Contest too with the same explanation. He went from 11-0 to 9-0 according to them. Weird
