I've got it a draw. Khotochigov's timid straight volleys while circling are simply not measuring up against López's body shots and full body follow-through hooker-cuts.

 

Now it's Kotochigov's turn to right the ship as he boxes well off the backfoot in the sixth and then lights up Lopez at the end.

 

Anybody surprised that López is giving the favored local such a hard time - don't be. López has victories over Juan Carlos Salgado and Marcos Villasana x2. He's a notch above what you'd expect from a 24-10 journeyman.

Kotochigov's went on the hunt early in round 7, which allows him to box well in the latter half.

 

Doberman feeling the pace now, a bit slow (and just a touch of reluctance creeping into his body language?) to get off his stool to answer the bell.

Kotochigov really started to pick Doberman apart in the last part of the 8th and couldn't miss with the right.
