Zhang has exactly the same chances everyone gave Wilder 1 week ago which was a very good chance. Death by left hand That left hand is almost as deadly as Wilder's right hand. It would put AJ over. In many ways Zhang is better than Wilder. AJ, Zhang, Wilder, Joyce,Bakole all these super heavies share one thing in common their footwork is slow and ponderous. They're basically stuck in the mud. When fighting one another it's down to who lands first and having the grit and toughness to endure a punch or two because none of these guys are defence wizards. rumour has it Floyd Mayweather had to go to hospital when watching a heavyweight boxing match the level of defence almost gave him a heart attack.
Bring it on. Of course, once Joshua destroys him Zhang instantly becomes a 41 year old fat oaf with kidney failure, and never any good to begin with.
Wilder isn't a superheavyweight and is the fleetest footed of them all. Joshua is also light on his feet compared to the stuck in molasses Zhang, Joyce and Bakole.
You are delusional if you think AJ has slow feet and his footwork is slow and ponderous. AJ footwork currently is miles better than your hero and Wallin fight is a pure proof of that. AJ was throwing punches and then uses his feet to get away from Wallin counter punchers. Fury was clinching, holding and leaning on Wallin, cause his footwork is s****. His footwork was good back when he faces Wlad, and that's it. AJ ain't one dimensional fighter, he can win the fight in different ways, can fight different and is also the smarter of them all.
Actually most posters were saying that AJ will win by UD robbery, which is equivalent to a Wallin win. Wallin was never stopped, hell never dropped in amateurs or PRO.
AJ's 2024 Hrbovic for the IBF strap mid next year then Zhang around Christmas, I think he beats both and then AJ without question would have the best resume at Heavyweight and then Usyk 3 (assuming Usyk beats Fury) early 2025 for legacy.
Zhang was nearly stopped and was on his last legs to Jerry Forrest (had it gone on for 30 seconds more he would have stopped Zhang as Zhang was out in his feet holding on for dear life the last couple of rounds). Hrgovic had Zhang hurt in moments of the fight and the same vice versa.
AJ footwork is much better than Wilder, Zhang Bakole and Joyce. I mean AJs foot work is no Usyk but his footwork is certainly better than the guys you mentioned
When he can dictate against smaller guys who get stuck on the end of his jab like Parker or Wallin. When you've got someone, even Helenius who had enough length although not the footspeed suddenly AJ becomes mythed. Younger Fury with his length and footspeed would spin AJ around the bends. He was getting all over the place late fight when he tired against Usyk.
I like Zhang but I think people have vastly overrated him personally, some were even making him the favourite over a prime Ali which is ridiculous. I'm not even sure Zhang is in the top 5 personally regarding H2H Fury, Usyk, Joshua, Parker, Ruiz, Hrgovic Rematch, could all beat him. But I'm excited to see what he does he has an exciting style and a big punch, but we need to see him in big fights asap as hes getting on in age.
