The CCP has an athletics programme. They spot boys at aged 10 and 11 then bring them on using certain PEDs and training methods.

Average height of a man in China is 5ft 5 to 5 ft 6, yet we have a load of 6ft 6 basketball players for example who went through their “athletics programme”.

I would love to know the height of Zhangs parents and grandparents. I am extremely sure none of them even break 5ft 11.

Ive read it was a precautionary thing.

Apparently he sufferered notable dehydration. I dont know how a HW suffers from dehydration.

If he gets his preparation right next time, he should win easy. He seemed terribly conditioned.

Hopefully he retires or at least realises his level. A fight with Chisora is surely off the cards now. Would be madness. Although that may still not be enough to stop Eddie.

His conditioning clearly was ****. But it´s insane that he kept going till his body basically gave up.
**** conditioning, but the man is though as hell it would seem.

Junior sports doping is rife and is most certainly not exclusive to China.

Lol you guys never watched a Zhang fight before right? His conditioning and gas tank both were always **** and shady as ****. He just got the job done early most of the time so it was never a BIG issue like last weekend. The guy is big HW and 38yo, there is no such thing like "fixing the stamina issue and he'll win the next time". His style, strengths and weaknesses won't change 1% in the future. If the guy has to go past R3,4 or 5 he's done.

Naaah don't believe it, they are making excuses for his hamster lungs...

Probably went to hospital for a concussion and a check up but the need to mention dehydration bothers me.

Like I said before, he went 10 rounds with Rudenko while being over 20 pounds heavier than he was in this fight. Yes, that fight wasn't exactly filled with action, but this time his gas tank was a lot worse than normal, so it wouldn't surprise me if he had some health related problems going into the fight.

This is from yesterday from his manager.

"But in the locker room afterward, we noticed some concerning symptoms and took Zhang to the hospital where he will spend a couple of nights. The good news is that all of his neurological scans are clear. However, he is suffering from anemia, high enzyme levels and low-level renal failure, which may have been caused by severe dehydration.”
