This could be the fight of the year, I think the outcome will be the same as the first fight unless Joyce takes care of his defense then everything could be different...

 

Big Bang abuses him again. Gets him out earlier.

I liked Joyce’s work to the body in the first fight. If he covers up better this time he could well win and stop zhang late

 

Joyce is easy to hit. I don't see him winning unless he can make Zhang miss just enough times in the first 6 rounds.

 

Joyce will fight carefully in the first 6 and wear out Zhang after that before stopping him late on in the fight. Zhang is 40+ and Joyce won't make the same mistakes again. I can't believe that Zhang is the favourite according to the betting odds.

 

Joyce doesn't have the defense to fight carefully vs someone of Zhang's caliber

 

Zhang within 3 rounds. Plus he drops Joyce this time.

 

I don't see how you can't think Zhang isn't the favourite ? he won a majority of the rounds and busted by Joyce the 1st time. What you're talking about is a fantasy Joyce doesn't have a good defence, and isn't miraculously going to improve his defence 10 folds after 1 fight.

He's 37 years old himself and it's going to be a miracle for him to totally alter his boxing style, he's not some amazing boxer who has shown great adaptability in fights. He's come forward aggressive fighter who relies on his chin and workrate.

The problem is Zhang is just as big as him hits harder than him, and has the boxing skills and Southpaw stance to totally shut Joyce down.

 

Joyce will have to do something different this time. What he did before and what he usually does will not work. Zhang took away his jab, making Joyce lead too much giving Zhang opportunities to land hard counters. His usual willingness to take shots to land shots won't work and will just see a repeat of the first fight.

Can Joyce win? If he can come in with a better strategy and execute it then yes, he was having some success in the later rounds but I suspect Zhang again piles on the damage and Joyce is stopped again before Zhang's gas tank is emptied.

 

Can Joyce adapt. Zhang is Zhang, sharp decisive powerful punches for the first 4 or 5 rnds and then its suck wind for the rest of fights. Avoid the knock down or damage in the early rnds and you can pick him off when he gas.
