Zhilei Zhang vs Joe Joyce II - September 23 // Wembley Arena

My money is on Joyce to make some adjustments and come out and box cautiously for the first 4-5 rounds.

If the eye hadn’t have blown up, I still think he would have taken over and stopped Zhang the first time as he was already starting to slow down.

Should be a nail biting fight - hopefully Hamza Sheeraz, Ellis Zorro, Sam Noakes/Pierce O’Leary on the undercard

 

If Joyce has now stopped believing in his own Juggernaut / terminator retoric, he'll make the necessary adjustments needed for a late stoppage.

 

We will see the best possible version of Joyce here. He will box and move early as he should have done the first fight. Zhang will drop off a little as he will be slightly over confident after the 1st fight.

You could see Joyce would have taken over the 2nd half of the first fight without the eye injury.

Joyce late stoppage looks likely, this the last chance saloon for Joyce given his age.

 

Funny how people are stating "Joyce was taking over". He was getting beaten badly by Zhang and could have career ending injuries if that fight continued any longer.

I think his chin has cracked and Zhang is going to drop and stop him in the rematch. Not even sure if that eye has fully recovered.

Zhang has much faster hands and Joyce doesn't know how to move his head, so Zhang will move it for him.

 

These clowns have a hard on for Joe.

Can't wait to see the scrambling when he gets battered again. Too slow, old, and lacks the ring smarts to slip a jab. He was never elite, as shown by an ancient Zhang. Nothing will change from the first fight.

 

Joyce looked lost against Zhang's southpaw stance last time and was getting pinged with backhands from the word go, I think we'll see a repeat

He won every round in the first fight, unless we have a repeat ending like last time which is highly unlikely then I see Zhang winning easy on points.

 

You think Zhang is going to win rounds after round 5 when his punch output drops lower than Jordan’s knickers, in comparison to Joyce who is a volume puncher who picks up more and more steam as he goes on?

This was evident even in the first fight, which is why I maintain Joyce would have been setting about him down the stretch in different circumstances.

If Zhang wins it’s by KO or stoppage again and the first time it was due to an eye injury, which is unlikely to happen again.
