Joyce was so slow he made the 21st Chinaman look like Manny Pac in there.

Joyce just looked shot and short of confidence. His run began 3- 5 years too late. That's the real issue. At 38 nobody is improving, so your default stats are all in decline. Seeing as ring iq was never part of the 'juggernaut' approach that physical decline was always going to tell.

Over for Joe for world titles, but still some paydays being the opponent in big fights.

 

Can’t believe people bought into the Joyce hype and spoke about him beating the likes of AJ and Wilder.

Beating Joseph Parker by taking punches on the chin was not impressive , it was a disaster class in how to box.

 

Good to see that bellend Sam Jones deleting all his tweets from before the fight where he was telling people they were clueless for thinking Zhang was gonna win again.

Can’t wait to see him crying on YouTube later.

 

That went pretty much as predicted but finished a few rounds sooner. It was sad to see Joyce look so bad and tentative.

Hats off to Big Bang, great performance and seems like a nice bloke with it.

AJ Zhang would be a good December fight.

 

Is Zhang still signed with Queensberry? George Warren said a while back his relationship with Queensberry was ‘ongoing’. Didn’t just involve the Joyce fight(s) either because there was talk of them putting Zhang in with Fury but not sure how many fights the deal was for.

 

Just watched the fight (0600am)

Big Bang won all 3 Rounds, cracking right to end the fight.

As soon as the 1st heavy punch went through the guard of Joyce in R2, his game plan, if he had one, unravelled.

Zhang has big time won a new fan in myself, he's breathing life into the HW Top Table.

Fury will avoid him. Zhang v Wilder excites me

Joyce either retires or has a final Cash Out fight v Dubois.

Wilder, AJ, Usyk, Fury walk right through him. Too one dimensional. All talk this week, nothing really changed once hit.

For Joyce, read Dave Allen* in believing the only defensive skill required is a solid chin.

Everything cracks eventually - chin, heart, bravery, mentality, desire.

I said a few days ago, he has to ditch the BS about his chin.

Brave, likeable but my gut feeling is is that he is unable to adapt.

I had Zhang via Points as Joe's talk this week was about improvements, weight, etc.

The KO pre fight would have surprised me.

From R2 and the 1st real connecting punch, it was a narrative changed and simply a question of "What Round?".

 

Yes as soon as you saw Joyce eating the left again, and saw his legs wobble. You knew it was only a matter of time.

 

Zhang carried on right where he left off in the first fight. Joyce made absolutely no improvements. Still no head movement to slip punches, just walking forward and getting rocked on the chin. I do feel for Joyce as he never really needed to take the Zhang fight in the first place but that's boxing for you. As for Zhang, I think he's the boogeyman of the division and will be avoided like the plague!

 

Wilder would get in the ring with anyone not ducking him.

Says a lot about his mindset that he was badly battered in fight 2 and fought like a lion outside the ring to get fight 3.

An absolute warrior in the ring that went out on his shield giving everything he had and he was only 1-2 secs away from winning 2 of the 3 fights against Fury.

What is needed is a WBSS type tournament for the current top 8 heavyweights where anyone doing a Tony Bellew avoiding the tournament is clearly chicken.
