Fury has the greatest fantasy career ever afforded to a still active fighter, a fantasy career comprising eligible contemporaries that he is afforded advantage over but who he refuses to fight.

His "successes" in the hypothetical realm far exceed those he has actually achieved in his material career.

    Truly amazing.

Joyce didn't leave his originally assumed advantage over Zhang on paper and hold on to it for ever more. It seems it was a fight Joe didn't actually have to or need to take.

On the flip side, we have Fury not taking the fights he should be taking - and they're beginning to queue up. The best Fury can offer is to persistently bag the fighters who are actually fighting.

Whether one figures Fury to beat these other guys or not, Fury isn't getting out there and proving his superiority.

Just as importantly, he's dodging the wear/tear, damage and hiccups that other great fighters have encountered and overcome in the process of proving their worth.

This has headed into the Dark Ages of Floyd Patterson's ridiculously protected reign as HW Champ.

As it is, there's a good chance that mere age, inactivity and the inability to recapture his best form have caught up with Fury anyway. What will the excuse be then? - "Ah, but a peak version of Fury would've wiped the floor with X, Y or Z."

Nqh he is not. He may once was, but no he is not now. And no he is using his "mental "stuffs so he can duck and weave. He is using it to his advantage.
And sorry but ducking top opposition speaks for itself. You can't claim someone would beat this and that guy, yet that guy is ducking everyone with a pulse, and then excuse to his "mental" state, and make all kind of excuses.

The reality is Fury is ducking Usyk, Zhang, AJ is because he knows he is done at top level.
He is 35 and he is abused his body, and that was always going to bite him.
There is zero indication over Fury fights, even when he was in a decent shape that he will beat either Usyk or Zhang.

We see what happen when Fury faces a D level southpaw like Wallin. And Wallin not just busted his face, he hurts Fury badly in the 12, and Fury was on a run.

Claiming that this man here, in this shape will beat Zhang is laughable:
    This content is protected

And guess what he is 35, not 25, there is no coming back from that. He already abused his body to the limit.

The only reason Fury is ducking this top fights, is not because of money, but because he knows he can't beat this guys.
