Round 4 Matthews is sticking his left glove in the cookie jar, forcing Mizsei to fire past it. Wide jabs and slashing rights on the outside by Mizsei, not getting near the stationary head of Matthews, unable to aim past the obstructing left arm. Matthews leans in and thumps Mizsei's body, then has Mizsei's arms wrapped around his throat in a spinning, awkward choke hold. Big 1-2 by Matthews smashing into Mizsei's guard and knocking him into the ropes. 10-9 Matthews 40-36 Matthews
Montreal is arguably the most "Canadian" city in Quebec, though. In fact, there has been an inter-provincial rivalry of sorts between Montreal and Quebec city over the years (stemming in part from the fact that Montreal supported the "No" side in overwhelming fashion in the '95 referendum that could have resulted in PQ seceding from Canada). I'd say there's always been a bit of dislike for Toronto ("Upper Canada") among residents of the Maritime provinces. Mathews is winning, but not really dominating Mizsei in this fight.
Round 5 Matthews works Mizsei into the ropes, walking him down, slicing the body up. Mizsei starts to lower and separate his gloves. Lunging lead left hook by Matthews as Mizsei falls back against the ropes. Matthews drops in a heavy right cross behind it, flush on the nose. Mizsei down!!! On his butt and one hand & knee by the bottom rope, watching the ref count in his face. No effort to get up. TKO5!!
The Dirty Derry deed's done. Thank goodness. Any more of that and I would need a shower before the main event.
