This is for the WBC ABC Youth featherweight title (so a subordinate regional version of the same belt on the line in the Yiran vs. Tejones main event)

    Kang enters 4-0, Agustian 5-0.

Someone's 0 has got to go!

    Round 1

Agustian is putting up a high right jab springing from a relaxed seated crouch on the outside. Kang is taking a step in and weaving in jittery side to side motions, then leading with a jab from the hip, countered by a right hook from Agustian stepping around. Quick right hook, and Kang is down, glove brushed the canvas! Ref didn't see it or rule it a knockdown, though, and so Agustian just continues to move in on Kang, throwing in combination while he's still fuzzy-headed. Things settle down finally as Kang is able to circle out to ring center and stave Agustian off with some looping rights and left hooks. BIG exchange as they step together, Kang throwing a left hook but Agustian countering with a right hook & straight left and getting there first. Kang down again, this one ruled officially, the ref counting in his face. Kang's nose is BUSTED, pouring blood from both nostrils. Time in; Agustian jumps on Kang and unleashes a blistering flurry against him on the ropes. Kang needs to be rescued, the ref having a long hard look, maybe thinking about milking the clock to help Kang out, but finally commits the act of mercy jumping in.

    KO1!

@Somachenko you were right, that was a HUGE step up that Kang simply wasn't ready for. :deal:

Lol I actually got lucky finding both of them to be honest. I wasn’t even searching for the Dangan one because I just assumed it’d go on boxingraise in a few days like they always do, but I went on boxingraise to see if they had something in their catalog and ended up seeing this livestream being advertised lol and I was searching high and low for the Chinese one and was just about to give up when I somehow stumbled onto a Chinese Sports TV guide with a link to it lol

"Turbo" Agustian improves to 6-0 (6), and becomes the Asian Boxing Council Youth champ at 126lbs, claiming his first bit of hardware thirteen months and one day after his pro debut, and in his first bout outside his native Indonesia.

One other moment of note that showed how confused they were the entire night. The heavyweight bout between Zi Yue Lu and Anuraj Sangwan. Sangwan got injured and couldn’t continue and the referee looked like he was ready to go to technical decision until he realized that it’s supposed to be a TKO lol. It’s like bout#4

Your super-sleuthing lately has been very clutch, as I'm sure most of the rest of the diehards on the forum would agree!

Hey, give them a break, they're pretty new at this Western boxing thing.

Really before a few years ago when Arum took an interest and started building a presence in the Chinese market (and Zou Shiming turning pro to much fanfare, even though he turned out to be a flop in the pros as I predicted having noted his long gradual decline in the amateurs where he overstayed) the sport was barely even heard of there.

Yeah I mean it’s not like Uganda where I remember looking through numerous events and seeing cards littered with 60-60 draws and 60-59 type scores. They’re trying to learn the sport and doing a better job than most, it just takes time lol. The fact that most of their cards (even the shitty ones with no bouts of note) are streamed on some form of Chinese social media with decent viewing numbers is better than most countries can say lol

My only trade secret is finding the boxers' full names in their native language (ie not transliterated into the Roman alphabet, but using the characters of their mother tongue) and then just plugging those characters into either Twitter (sorted by "Latest") or Google with the "last hour" or "today" filter switched on. That's all, that's my go-to way to find stuff. :nusenuse:

Yougu enters 4-1-1, having faced nothing but his countryman except for one previous Thai, beating him by UD in a 4-rounder.

Ontha, aka Yotnakrhop Mor Wattanachai, enters 2-0 (1) but with very spotty activity - debuting in January of 2016, and competing in his sophomore effort a year and a half later, eleven months ago.

    Round 1

Yougu is having a difficult time dealing with the southpaw jab from Ontha, who is listed on BoxRec as orthodox but has proven very effective in the lefty stance early on here. Yougu is consistently drilled in the belly with counter jabs when he tries carrying in an overhand right, and when he approaches with his own left jab, he is sidestepped and caught on the chin with a line drive left hand cradled just below Ontha's sternum. Ontha grinning at his foe, confidently swinging a lead right hook and then swaying outside bent over backward at the waist to dodge Yougu's wild counters.

    10-9 Ontha
