Folley at his best vs the Rock from Brocton. Who wins?

Horrible style matchup for Folley. Folley liked to be able to lay back and counterpunch at a very slow, easy pace and he didnt have a great chin. I think Rocky would have massacred him in a few rounds. No way in hell it goes past 7.

Folley's chin would let him down here.

I just think that Marciano is in a different league and Folley wouldn't be able to cope with Marciano's pressure and power, Folley is a very poor mans Ezzard Charles

Machen would have been better vs Marciano. I always compare Maceb favorably to Folley,...despie Zora's edge of 1-0-Draw in their two bouts.

As much as I liked Zora Folley, he was a fine family man and a pretty good boxer, he would be too patient against the likes of Rocky Marciano. He was a counterpuncher as seen against Sonny Liston and Muhammad Ali in 1967. He would have to employ a very sound strategy against the hard punching Rocky Marciano, who has in his arsenal, stamina. But based on what I have seen,The Rock scores a KO 6 over the man from Chandler, Az.

This is about right. A KO in 6 or 7 is a sound pick. I will throw out a little food for thought just for giggles, however. If you were to look over Zora Folley's record and pick out 3 fighters who most closely resemble the Rocky Marciano style of good chin, body-punching and clubbing-like punches, who would you pick? I picked out Oscar Bonavena, George Chuvalo and Alex Miteff. Of course they are not in Rocky's league and Rocky wasn't solely a clubbing puncher. He was known for bringing a sharpness to his game too. But it is thought-provoking that Zora handled all three. Again, it was just for giggles.

Marciano took 9 rounds to KO Cockell but Folley's going in the 2nd? OK.
