Seen clips of him doing the mitts with Roach. Not sure if he is his confirmed trainer or if it was just a visit to the wildcard
With careful matchmaking, and Chintards hyping the **** out of him, with the backing of Arum, I think in less then 15 fights he can meet a P4P star and proceed to show the world why China boxing is non Existant and where the term China Chin Originated from.
Yeah I think a fight with the Chinese WBC champion is a lock for some point, maybe that could be justification for further avoiding Denver Cuello? All sounds from the Wildcard suggest that Zou won't be ready for Viloria for a long time (if ever), expect him to target a light-flyweight title and maybe defend it against XZZ in Macau say late 2014.
mOTHER****ER Zhou aint no Filipino foo! He's Vietnamese! At least that Kenyan ex-amateur gold medalist named Rigonduh is willing to take your test.
Shoe shining should go after the regional belt first to test his skill, like the OPBF. Let him get more experience against top Jap, Thai and Pinoy fighters in the region. But The Milkman wants him on top, while the hype is still fresh. Macau Gambling Businessmen backs up Shoe Shining and will give millions to promote his future fights, and Milkman wants that piece of pie. Let's hope Shoe Shining gets his power developed overtime, or else the hype calesa train would end embarrasingly for the Tibetan.
he doesn't seem to have much power and his style needs a lot more refining before he can outbox those at the top. i'm sure he will be managed into a world title though, he's arguably the most hyped boxer in history.
Is the WBO and IBF recognized in China? Because if they aren't, then that would limit the chances of him winning a world title. The Jap guy who beat that flip who beat Pong is the current WBC champion.. that Mexican guy who beat Viloria is the current WBA champion.. I don't see Zou beating either of them. He can move up to Super Flyweight though, not sure who the champions there are.. but he can do it.. =[
:good:deal I suppose you did say arguably so kinda covering yourself. I don't really get all the hate for him.
If Xiong Zhao Zhong comes up in weight for an all China showdown which I think may happen, the only x factor would be Zou's stamina. If he can keep it up for 12 rounds, I can see Zou winning. Obviously he's far too advanced in age and light hitting to be a world beater but good for boxing nonetheless.
the main thing is Zou will hopefully make boxing more popular in China, so more guys from there will turn pro and we'll have a larger talent pool. there's bound to be some great talents coming out of there. Zou is opening the doors.
