That was a much better fight than I'd have expected to see on a domestic-grade card like this.

Neither is good enough to likely ever hold so much as the European title, but they're no bums and they just put on a heck of a show with plenty of hard work to complement their nice marriage of styles.

Hungarian women are quite possibly (on average) the most beautiful in the world. Somewhere (hidden well away from Mrs K...) I still have the slightly racy photo given to me by my socialist exchange camp fling as a 14/15 YO in the 'woodcraft folk'. She was beautiful as were all her friends - I'd kinda convinced myself it was just those teenage hormones that had convinced me of the lusciousness of Hungarian women when I revisited the country a few years later and realised that, indeed, an unnatural proportion of the women are unusually attractive. ahh....

Maybe a bit wide on Gabris' card, but no robbery.

I'd definitely watch a rematch. (while Albert is never getting :yep)

No real surprise they went for the favourite but that was a good fight, Nagy clearly had the better skills, but Alberts grit was nearly enough to win through. Like you say - ok a domestic level clash, and I don't see Nagy progressing beyond regional level based off that, but he showed the resolution to respond to what looks to have been the first significant test of his pro career.

These kinda fights have a drama all of their own and independent of any ranking, status or consequences that might be on the line. I enjoyed that one.

My fetishization of Eastern Europe goes far beyond liking their boxers, I've been obsessed with EE Models since I laid eyes on Eva Herzegova and Paulina Porizkova as a child. I love Hungarian chicks, Romanian chicks, Czech chicks and I really like the Ukrainian girls in Miami. They're tough competition with my Latin fetish:D

Lots of time-filler before the main event now. Hungarian celebrities entering the ring and basking in applause, etc.

Was that Zsolt Erdei just now!??!!

MAN, he wasted no time getting fat in retirement.

If not for his very distinctive face, you'd never look at him and guess that he was a pro athlete until this very year!

Has anyone seen this Zsolt Bogdán before? (has only ever fought in Hungary, and has been televised numerous times for a 7-0 prospect, virtually every time out, but only ever on various Hungarian TV stations, never featuring on a card important enough to be picked up by any international channels)

I know absolutely nothing about him, but if he is being fed Williams, with the distance scheduled for ten even though he never has been past four, he is obviously expected to be able to blow Danny out early.

Meh. Apparently it's the same as Zoltan which I think is kinda cool but could perhaps be described as a 'character building' name in many UK or US schools.
