Zsolt Bogdán vs. Danny Williams & Ferenc Albert vs. Lajos Márk Nagy RBR

Kind of. He just gassed himself out during his ring walk (and subsequent wait on Bogdán, accompanied by a Hungarian rapper...), I'll bet.

 

I think if he can just stay in a turtle shell and keep his balance for a few rounds he can begin to utilize his vast experience and really test Bogdán, who hardly strikes one at first glance as being a lean mean athletic machine. Taking on Williams (even shot to bits) in a 10-rounder is a big leap from having never been past four.

 

Round 1

Bogdán meets Williams in the middle of the ring and immediately begins to scoop uppercuts in to pry his guard off his face. Williams is backed into the ropes and draws himself around clockwise and then counterclockwise, turning at the waist to load up on underhanded palm-to-ceiling left and right straights on the body. Williams begins to arc his shots, hooking at the flabby belly of Bogdán. They lean together and Williams is shoved up against the ropes. Bogdán throws a long right into the abdomen, then clubs at Williams as he shells up and bends over. Williams is flurried into a corner, leaning back with both hands down and getting tickled with shots all over the face. Williams pushes his way free with a left uppercut. Bogdán lands a hook on the body, hurting and backing up Williams. Another body hook and a right by Bogdán.

Underwater slug-fest!!

Both are incredibly slow. Neither of their punches have anything on them.

 

Round 2

Bogdán is trading body hooks with Williams, taking turns. Each man lifts his guard over his face while "defending". 1-2 by Bogdán, grazing the face as Williams backs up. Bogdán pushes Williams up against the ropes, the pinky-edge of both his gloves pressing into Williams', bearing down on him as Williams lets his back sag into the ropes for buoyancy as he taps Bogdán on the chunky Buddha shrine, pillowy breasts, and low-hanging armpit flesh. Bogdán is crushing Williams against the ropes with his forearms, left glove grasping him around the throat and right plugging away on the body or clubbing on the side of the head. Williams smacks his way free momentarily with a high right hand on the hairline.

If anything, Danny's work is cleaner - he's just mostly staying on the defensive and getting worked over by the sheer brawn of Bogdán...losing the wrestling match.
