Girard beat a guy who beat a guy who was rated #1? And I suppose this proves Girard is a brilliant fighter? And Erdei beat a guy who beat Johnson? That's just as good as Erdei beating Johnson!

So, again - the only noteable thing Erdei achieved at 175 was beating Gonzalez?

Bit late in the game for him to try and cement his legacy.

Wonder why at this late stage he feels his legacy is inadequate?

Only seen a few of Erdei's fights. Not bad. Throws some nice combos.
Saw the fight with Fragomeni. How in the hell did Fragomeni get a belt is all I can say. That guys sucks.

I think this is great news. I've felt that Universum has always held Erdei(and several other fighters) back and have felt Erdei wanted more. Now that he's signed with DiBella he'll have a chance to prove himself to a wider audience. Better late than never.

Campillo never pulled out of anything. Universum set up a fight between Campillo and Erdei WITHOUT ASKING CAMPILLO because they thought they had an option on him. A court later ruled that they didn't have an option on him. In any case, Campillo had already set up a fight with Shumenov at that point.

I honestly think Erdei would fight whoever Universum put in front of him, just they're notorious about overprotecting their fighters, and even as such, he really should have two losses to Garay on his record. At this point it's too late for him to make waves. He looked like he was at about 70% of what he once was against Fragomeni, and I suspect he'd lose to most of the top 10 these days.

He did have the flu during the week of that fight and if I remember correctly they thought about postponing it. He definately looked gassed in that fight. Still a nice win considering the size disadvantage. I'm just interested to see how he does now that he's out of that Universum contract.

That's the wild card for me. If the reason he gassed out and looked slow was because of the flu and not because he's getting up there in years, then he could still give some guys trouble. I don't think any version of Erdei beats Pascal, Dawson or Cloud though.

Erdei always gasses, but part of the reason he did it earlier because he fought a guy 20 pounds heavier on short notice.

What exactly does Campillo have to do with "the best at the weight"?

    Nothing? Exactly. Now STFU. :deal

Yep, pretty much. And Gonzalez was never anything special (he went life and death with Glen Jiohnson in a fight most felt Gonzalez lost).

We have already went over this many times and you go on to attempt to discredit Johnson (very late bloomer), Tarver, as well as adamek yet place guys who Erdei beat as higher level than them.

I do not know anything about situation between cloud and campillo pulling out so I don't care to speak on something I don't know (you should try it some time). If this is true then I bet there is alot more to the situation than you are conveying because that's how you work. Use anything to try to get your point across when you know it's BS. Like when you bring up those phony punchstats from the dirrell-froch fight on boxrec when you know dam well who landed the only significant shots that fight. Still the fight didn't happen and you are defending the guys Erdei beat who really are not worth mentioning in any boxing conversation.

Like I said already, you have a big nerve talking as if hypejobs only come from the US. You do need some reflecting and see how hypocritical your words are. Anything you have ever said about one of your percieved hypejobs can be applied to the guys you so desperately defend with unconditional love. You should change your name to DSB (Double Standard Bailey).

You have no sense of skill in the ring and can only rattle off numbers to back your points as if they tell the story. You even have the nerve to say that guy Haussler (who Kessler KOed) was a good fighter when all you need is eyes and a knowledgable head to see that he was garbage. You are like the euro bums superhero protecting thier paper statuses to the very end.
