Zsolt Erdei is the real LHW champion of the world

At this stage Mitchell is little more than a can. The last time he was even remotely close to a world class fighter was back in 2007. But he got brutally KTFO by Richard Hall that year (who had taken the fight on 1 week's notice) and was never the same after.

Zsolt Erdei is another who deserves more repsct and credit, hes an undefeated former 2 weight world champ that had a better LHW resume than Dawson who was a recent P4Per. Completely off subject but read below. You may see where I am coming from

Erdei beat Gonzalez Ring #2 LHW who had just contraversially beaten Michalczewski

Erdei beat undefeated H Garay twice who went on to become WBA champ and has a victory over current WBO LHW champ Braehmer

Erdei beat A Lakatos who has only lost to undefeated fighters and was scheduled for an int WBO LHW title shot, with the winner to be full champ if Braehmer is forced to vacate. Lakatos had to withdraw

Erdei beat M Sahnoune the world rated former WBA LHW champ who had only lost once. A very good win.

Erdei beat Ulrich the European LHW champ

Erdei beat Barashian who has a victory over Ulrich

Erdei gave away 17 lbs at the weigh in and went up a division and fought away to win the WBC CW title off of Fragomeni.

Look at the double standards when it comes to Erdei -

Erdei beats Murdoch then after that Murdoch is a good enough opponent for D Green the world rated CW
Erdei beats Santiago by KO, then Santiago is an OK opponent for Tarver in Santiagos next fight
Erdei beats Abron yet Abron is an OK opponent for Yusaf Mack, Adjamu and Brudov.

Yet people rated Dawson for beating 2 fighters 14-15 years older than him. one with double figure losses and the other who split a couple of fights with that double figure losses fighter.

Due to The Ring magazine not following the policy of beating the man to be the man. Michalczewski should have been Ring LHW champ (for his win over Hill. If you followed the original line of the Rings old title belt which disappeared and then reappeared and was just awarded to Jones with no real justification), which would now make Erdei the Ring champ .


Think Dawson hasnt beaten a fighter rated above #2 by the Ring as Hopkins hogged the #1 spot for ages, and Erdei has a win over a fighter that beat Johnson, who nearly beat Dawson and that was Dawsons big win.

Now Erdei should be the Ring champ if you followed the true line, but the Ring just handed a title to Jones, when it should have been Michalczewski, that true line would make Erdei champ now.

What does shock me is this ignorance. You have only noticed Erdei because he fought in America and before that so many just discredited him, because you/they hadnt seen him before.
Erdei is an undefeated 2 weight champ, but because he is not featured in your Ring comic, you dont rate him

I tend to agree with with you, but I think Erdei still needs to beat 2-3 of the guys you mentioned to be considered as the best LHW
Erdei vs Dawson/Pascal/or even Hopkins would be amazing

pretty much. he is a dzin in the sense he has fought noones . once he fights a big name he will more than likely lose.

 

He gave up his claim to lineage when he announced his retirement from the sport.

What bailey said is true, this guy was the rightful ring champ until his retirement.
