Zsolt ERDEI targets Antonio TARVER

    It seems Tarver is looking to unify and lineal and WBO LHW champ Zsolt Erdei stated today that he'd love to fight Antonio after his fight on Saturday.

    Since Erdei is one of the Universum Box-Promotion boys, a stable that's best interest is to make meaningless fights to protect their interests, sometimes it's the fighters who have to make the first steps to do something big. The Klitschko brothers left Universum a few years ago, but other fighters like Erdei or Dzinziruk never made an attempt to find a new promotional partner.

    Anyways, in the month of the LHWs Erdei almost had a unification fight himself vs. Danny Green, but the bout never came off and Green retired without a farewell fight. But Erdei is still interested in unification and therefore fighting Tarver, who himself is looking to unify.

    my opinion is that the fight won't get made when Tarver wants something like 80% of the purse

    Tarver should take it,it is his chance to finally become the linear champion.

    Not really- he lost the linear championship to Hopkins, who lost it to Calzaghe.

    World Light-Heavyweight Champion: Joe Calzaghe (W12 Bernard Hopkins, wins Linear Championship/Ring Magazine Championship).

    And I prefer Tarver-Dawson at this moment. The stars are alligned for that fight, as they both won decisions over quality fighters on the same card. It would be a HUGE fight in Florida.

    how can you conclude from Erdei calling out Tarver, that Tarver won't fight Dawson?

    Tarver hasn't even taken the fight yet.

    Why would Tarver take a fight against him over one against Dawson?

    While i agree Tarver is a much better fighter ,Erdei is still the linear champion.

    I'm sorry but it obvious that he wants no part of Dawson. Plus Tarver has not looked hungry since his second fight with Jones

    That's actually more likely than most would think, just because Dawson's chin, though not terrible, has caused some problems, namely against Adamek and Johnson.

    Erdei is better than you guys AND Tarver thinks. His horrible resume not withstanding, he actually can fight a bit.
