Erdei isn't in the same league, even Jesse Brinkley would give him a hard fight...

Im seriously concerned with this thread. Are people really this oblivious to what goes on outside their own country in a sport they claim to follow?
If you recognise a sportsman and follow them and see them in interviews etc, they become significant to that person and consiquently when they fight and who they fight becomes significant to these people also. But do people really believe that a fighter isnt good if they dont recognise him?

Dirrell lost to Froch and his biggest win is a DQ over a small former MW whos beaten no one of note and who has no real SMW resume.

Erdei could be argued as the top LHW, has beaten established world rated LHWs, made 11 defences, relinquished his belt and won a world title at CW.

Who can argue that Dirrell is better with solid reasons as to why?

This may help for people that think boxing only exists in their country of origin. When Erdei went up to CW he beat a champion (Fragomeni) who was coming off a draw with a former champion, that gave Cunningham his first loss. Fragomeni had only lost to Haye at this time

Frag was a 40 year old man looking for a payday. He only retained the title against Wlodarczyk due to some serious home cooking (KDs not being counted, etc).

    Not an impressive win.

Alot of fighters fight into their 40s and in world class, and Fragomeni was world class and a world champ, but however you decide to view the win, its still more than Dirrell has done and I wouldnt have fancied Dirrell to win in the same fight

    How ignorant are you?
The ring belt was around in the LHW division in the 80s, then it was removed and reinstated in the 90s and given to R Jones, but if yoy follow the line of the champion, it should have gone to Michalczewski, which would now make Erdei the champ, Erdei has beaten undefeated Garay twice, Sahnoune, and Ulrich as well as becoming a CW champ. He possibly has the best LHW resume

The Gonzalez fight was close, after watching some of his other fights, I would favor Dirrell based on skill and athletic ability. Erdei has beaten some good boxers, but he's never fought someone like Dirrell.

Dirrell by decision...Erdei is not as bad as some people make him out to be but I think that Dirrell is too fast for him.

I dont like Dirrells style, but at 168 he would be way to slick for Erdei and win by UD!
