I know he's getting up there a bit in age, but based on his last fight he still looks like he might have a bit left in the tank. :think

You have to feel bad for the guy. He puts together a respectable career over the course of a decade in Europe, more than half of it spent as reigning world titlist, and near the end of his able-bodied years breaks free of his contract and signs with a major American promoter hoping to mix it up and prove himself legit by testing his mettle with hungry young lions overseas...and his long-awaited break comes in the form of the Million Dollar Super Four tourney, in which he gets robbed (of his zero, along with the glory & million bucks) against Grachev...then has a frustrating year of fights being put together and then canceled for various reasons...and now, a couple of months away from turning 40, decides enough is enough and will be walking away off a Euro title clash with a Georgian trial horse. :!:

The whole point of this card was for him to basically say goodbye to his fans in Hungary, not wanting the Grachev loss to be the note on which he rode into the sunset.

Hopefully old Firebird can squeeze as much positive as he can from his and provide his loyal countrymen with a spectacular KO1 or something.

I really think if not for getting screwed he would (and could) probably have continued another year or two.

10-8 round... not that it matters, Jomar needs a KO anyway.

I was wondering if Shalva actually went down in that sequence, but I guess his glove touched the canvas the second time.
