I agree with the sentiment of the best HW's but seeing as they are other wise engaged (JDS in TUF, Cain injured, the SF GP) arent you a little bit curious about how this will pan out? I thought this would be right up your street, almost guaranteed to be a war imo

Absolutely it would be an entertaining fight. When has Hendo or Fedor ever been in a boring fight? My problem is Fedor has one foot in retirement. In terms of significance this fight means absolutely nothing. Fedor need's to go out on top or just retire. Matches against career 205 pounders just don't cut the mustard for me. If anything it gives more ammunition to the Fedor haters and his mystique could wane even more.

That's a fair point, but I guess it's Dan or Arlovski II. And M1 are not going to let their cash cow retire, atleast not without one last harrah

:good Agreed, though if Fedor was planning to really move to LHW to establish himself there then no problem. But if it's just a catchweight/"superfight" then relatively pointless yes. Actually a big letdown from being the man at hw during an amazing hw tournament to moving down to fight a lhw (i know hendo's a legend, but still)

Fedor should NOT move down to 205lbs. He's a heavyweight point blank point simple. He put up an excellent fight vs Silva. There's no shame in going out on your shield like that against a 300lb beast when your in the twilight of your career.
Im sure if Hendo really wants this fight he'll make the sojourn to heavyweight for it. Can't see Fedor or his team wanting to make 205 for this.

Agree on this too. I was just saying that maybe it wouldn't be so pointless if Fedor was committed to making a run at LHW as he would be facing one of the top LHW's. I too think Fedor should retire or stay at HW and pick himself back up ( no shame in losing to the mammoth Silva who appears more and more as a legit top HW). Also i thought they were discussing this fight as some type of catchweight fight

Fedor will be fine at 220lbs. When he started in Rings he weighed around that mark. The fight isn't a title fight so there's no way it will be 5 rounds. Should be exciting while it lasts.

i think if fedor loses this he should seriously consider retirement.
