Oh ****, just another thread for the pro American//slash//Pavlik bandwagon. You guys should realise that Zuniga is no better than Jantuah or Gevor type of an opponent.

It's ridiculous how alot of you try to just make Pavlik bigger than he really is...

    abraham is being underated.

not sure if he has been weight drained of late as his workrate has gone down from his normal output.

but while he looks a bit herky jerky and average he has other factors that make him good.

he is very strong for a middleweight
double arm guard that is hard to pierce
    sneaky jab.
very heavy handed , able to punch through opponents defenses.
actually good feet movement especially on the backfoot when he wants to.
can adapt to digfferent styles of fighters.
    good chin.
    1 punch power 1 through to 12.
    has a winners mentality.

    weak points

stamina if the opponent set a high tempo
    slow starter

rarely punchs when the opponent is letting his hands go

forward footwork is a bit clumsy.

does not let his hands go enough early in fights

not used to fighting outside his comfort zone.

but zuniga has no financial backing , compared to abraham, the fight would take place at home for abraham and IMO he would beat zuniga .

in fact i would say people are slightly overating zuniga.

i see him as a gatekeeper of the division in abilty.
good tough/durable fighter without the extra bit of abilty needed to be a champ.

not that middleweight is strong, it is in depth very weak.

That's bull poo and you know it Tom. So Zuniga happened to have fought Pavlik. Does that mean we are not allowed to be a fan of his??

As for Pro-American, Zuniga is from Columbia last I checked. Or are you just mad at him for having the balls to fight over here??

I just have to read boo"poo"radley and Jet"pol"ski to know that this would just went into being a anti-abraham/atg pavlik thread.

Though, guys like Odo nearly doing the same in favour of Abraham...nuthuggers at its best... :-(

Abraham looks as decent as Jeff Lacy ... he's basically a stiff weightlifter now .. short, slow, with a lousy workrate

Pavlik would DESTROY Abraham ... it would be a total beatdown ... except Miranda will end his career so they will never meet at all

Zuniga has the work rate, defense, and stamina to beat Arthur, and enough power to keep him honest, and that has nothing to do with Pavlik! Authru's only chance would be a knock out, or stop him on cuts which Zuniga is very proned to.

Back to the ONE fight left at middleweight stuff? Pav/Abe? After seeing AA's last fight, I wouldn't argue he is in some class way above the rest. I think a discussion about the rest of the field is overdue. I think Pavlik has so far proven he may be in a class of his own now that Miranda/Taylor have stepped up in weight, but no one else. I've seen people mention AA as an A level fighter and the anti-Pavlik people didn't say word one!

Bottom line, until these fights happen, all we can do is talk and analyze, which IS the point of this thread.

Boo. Give me your top five at middle.

I might get flamed here, but Zuniga has what it takes to beat Abraham. That guy can take some serious punishment, he hits very hard and appears to have good stamina.

Your boy isn't invinsible, far from it. Many of us think Zuniga would give him a hard fight and possible beat him. Does that make it hate? I guess in your ******ed eyes it does.

So if you have a prediction then by all means say it, youre welcome to contribute to this discuission. But if you cant without getting all emotional then pull your panties up and go to the European section, where you will hear only the things you want to hear.

Abraham won't KO Zuniga couse he has an outstanding chin and Zuniga will easily get through the tourtle guard couse he thorws nice accurate crisp uppercuts on the inside. AA has a terrible workrate and the Columbian throws tons of punches so my pick is Zuniga by UD
