Top Rank has announced that WBO Super middleweight Champion Gilberto "Zurdo" Ramirez (34-0) suffered a hand injury in training and was forced to withdraw from his scheduled defense against Germany's Dominik Britsch (32-2-1) - which was set to take place on the undercard of Terence Crawford versus Viktor Postol at MGM Grand Casino in Las Vegas July 23, 2016

What a p****, he could have beaten Britsch with one hand tied behind his back. He should have stayed the course, this is a PPV after all.

Got to love all the GGG haters. "Fight Zurdo", "fight Zurdi".....

Yeah: That would have worked out well.

Dang! That PPV was already paper thin for the casual fan... What will Arum throw in now?

"Earlier, talking to several reporters, he said he had no other choice but to put it on PPV since HBO didn’t have enough dates to accommodate the card. Arum said he didn’t expect the July 23 card to do blockbuster numbers, given the still emerging status of both Crawford (28-0, 20 knockouts) and Postol (28-0, 12 KOs). "

Bob Arum isn't a complete idiot mate.

Maybe that will force them to drop the price of the PPV some.

How popular is Crawford in the US?

I can't see for the life of me how this is going to sell well.

Purses aren't big though. Bob expectations are suitably low.
