Canelo invited GGG into the ring and said he would fight him next, or at 2017 at the latest. Now he needs to follow up his words or it is a duck.

Im not sure that Canelo ever said he would fight him next. I know he said that he would fight him, and after he beat Cotto he said he would fight him but not now.

    So try again

    Here you go IsaL:

    1. “I invited him to come to the ring,” Canelo Alvarez said. “Like we say in Mexico, we don’t (expletive) around. We don’t fight for belts and stuff like that. I don’t fear anyone. We don’t come to play in this sport — I don’t fear anyone. Right now I will put the gloves on again and fight him

    2. Saul "Canelo" Alvarez says he has vacated the WBC middleweight title he retained in Las Vegas earlier this month and is now making plans to fight undefeated middleweight Gennady "Triple G" Golovkin "as quickly as possible".

    3. "Today, I instructed my team at Golden Boy Promotions to continue negotiating a fight with Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin and to finalize a deal as quickly as possible," Alvarez, 25, said in a statement.

    4. "I am hopeful that by putting aside this ticking clock, the two teams can now negotiate this fight, and 'GGG' and I can get in the ring as soon as possible and give the fans the fight they want to see," said Alvarez.

    5. “I’m busy in Florida. Loeffler is over there in Europe doing his thing,” said De La Hoya to Fighthub. “I have to focus on this court case, which will end soon. "After the case, I’m going to call Loeffler again and we can negotiate again and continue our negotiations and we’ll see how it goes. It all depends on how it starts and how it ends, and we’ll take it from there. Do I see it this year? It’s definitely a possibility."

And no offer for Golovkin despite this talk.

Well "Zurdo" fights 13 pounds north of Canelo. Soooo, easy for him to say that. We will see how "Zurdo" feels about the big fights when his paychecks still multiply to fight relative small fights, if he is so fortunate.

    After the Khan fight.....

El Pollo Canelo said " I'll fight GGG @ 160 put the gloves back on lets do it right now. Mexican's don't **** around " ROFL
    The only truth there was the " Mexican's don't **** around "
Mexican fighters are just that FIGHTERS!!!! They'll fight all comers. They have stones.
This is why Mexican fighters & fans have DISOWNED Canelo claiming he is not Mexican. No Mexican would meekly hand over a title like a coward who was afraid of the man he had to face.
A Mexican would FIGHT!!!!!. That's why they disown him & named him El Pollo The Chicken A COWARD!!!

Is that why his last PPV sold 600K? Near twice as much as the next best selling PPV this year so far.

Is that why it generated 7.5 million dollars in gate revenue?

Is that why viewership numbers from Mexican television was extremely high for the fight?

...keep telling yourself that. At least you will believe it.

    :lol::lol::lol:

If Canelo is the definition of a Mexican hero then I have no respect for Mexicans anymore. :-(

    Ramirez is right, though.

Canelo does make Mexicans look bad and I believe that Ramirez will have the nuts to step into the ring with Golovkin and also give him a hell of a fight. :thumbsup

I expect Canelo-Liam Smith to do far less than 300k too.

Amir Khan talks big and is always in the news, but the casuals don't know who Liam Smith is.
