The man has earned his shot. Dont know if he can beat any of the top dogs at 175. But at least hes not some no hoper. Hes a solid young and hungry fighter. Hes got a solid workrate, a tough fighter, and hes huge.
I would like to see Bivol take the winner of Beterbiev-Smith and for Zurdo to take the loser, but it looks like Zurdo has pole position to be the first challenger for the undisputed title (or at worst the guy who beat Canelo's mandatory). He won the boxing lottery, so my guess is he plays it safe until he can cash the winning ticket. Before that it looked like he was focused on beating no hopers to get to 51-0 so he could get paid more to fight no hopers. He is fun to watch though.
I'd love to see Zurdo get to like 55-0 or even 60-0 and see all the mental gymnastics done here on the boards.
