Just read news that ZZ’s promoter filed an appeal for the match result since Burnett didn’t go through mandatory doping test after the fight.

What are the chances of this being successful?

As I understand Burnett was taken straight to the hospital from the fight because he was suffering from severe headaches. Not sure what ramifications this will have.

It was due to the fact, Burnett had to go to the hospital straight after.
Going to the hospital takes priority supposedly. It is the rules or some ****.
Adam Booth (Burnetts trainer) speaks about it somewhere in this 30 min video.

    Nothing will happen.

Yes but it looks really suspicious, especially that nothing had been found in hospital. First judges cards, now this.

As far as I remember not taking mandatory test should qualify as a failure of the test.

That’s pretty nice rule, all you have to do is just fake headache and go to hospital and there you go, no doping test straight after the fight.

What about the judges cards? It was a pretty one sided fight IMO, Burnett won fair and square, there shouldn't be any controversy.

It wasn’t pretty one sided fight unless you give all close rounds to Burnett, Burnett was wining but not with margins that were on two scorecards.

I scored it 119-109 for Burnett. Yeah it was competitive throughout, but Burnett landed the cleaner more accurate shots throughout the majority of them. You can have a highly competitive 120-108 match as well, but you don't give the other guy rounds because he's putting in a good effort, if he loses every round 51-49, he still loses the round.

I don’t agree with your score, it wasn’t that wide and third judge score was more realistic. Also didn’t like that Burnett was holding ZZ left hand and didn’t receive any point deductions for that. Don’t like those type of fighters that receive full home support in terms of judges and then evade doping control. I would have understood if something was found or he was looking like Ouma after the fight with GGG (who still took the test despite beating he received as far as I know), but nothing was found and it looks highly suspicious.

I dont see how anyone could justify 4 rounds for ZZ.

I would gladly review those rounds if you have them.
