Hatton by decision . Hatton's pace and pressure would be too much for front running Cotto.

Thats all great but Cotto is a one handed fighter. Ricky would take Cotto in deep waters and drown his lazy sitting on ropes ass.

Hatton by decision at 140 imo. Cotto by knockout at 147.

Cotto would kick the living **** out of Hatton, even if the fight were held in Manchester. That's assuming we're not talking about the weight drained Cotto towards the end of his time at 140. There's no amount of holding and hitting that could save him. In fact, Ricky would get ****ing stretched, in his prime he doesn't look nearly as proficient as Cotto in his pro debut.

Cotto knocked out Torres, who had him in the most trouble prior to Margarito by far, with a huge right hand that bent his body all the way back. Not sure what you mean by lazy, Cotto always fought back in the trenches pre-Margarito. There was a period at welterweight where he barely threw it, but at 140 and now post-surgery it has been a weapon of effectiveness. Not to mention the fact that Hatton's right was never exactly a game-changer itself.

Hatton was alot quicker than Cotto at 140.

Also lets remember a prime Hatton was 4 years prior to the Pacquiao demolition.

Pacquiao would've demolish Hatton regardless if it's his prime or whatever because of that face first no head movement brawling type.

It's easy to forget that Cotto was a destructive body puncher himself.

I say Cotto by KO/TKO, but not without some dicey moments.

Cotto was unstoppable in his prime at 140 lbs.
I love both fighters, but Cotto was more of destructive force than Hatton was at ANY weight.

Hatton was a good pressure fighter, but Cotto would be would the bigger, stronger and hard puncher in the ring.

I think Cotto has issues with Hattons constant pressure at 140 and Ricky grinds out a UD. Its a style thang yo

I rate Hatton higher but head to head Cotto wins for sure.
