Under the circumstances, this is a good fight. Showtime is limping along right now and gets a name fighter for probably not too much money. And Kirkland's big win boosts Ishida's credibility heading into it. Nice bout.
People can say what they want about Williams but the man constantly fights the guys nobody is thrilled to get into the ring with, yet some people continue to ridicule him over decisions he has no control over just look who he as fought over the years. I do wish he gets one big payday before he retires because he deserves it for all the tough fights he has taken. Lara Martinez (x2) Quintana (x2) Margarito (at a time where he was one of the most feared men in boxing, no telling if he had plaster) Wright (Yes he was old but when Wright is considered an easy fight for you, level of opponents must be difficult

This. It's possible that his jaw got cracked and just isn't there anymore, but before Martinez, he'd never been knocked down legitimately, and he's a guy who gets hit flush hundreds of times in a fight, several times against big punchers.
