nooo, Cal did the right thing distancing himself from that joker who is 2 leagues below him. Serious, everyone knows Sven is ****. Otkke and his judges would find some way to cheat their way to a victory, theres no blueprint for not being cheated oops sorry i mean defeating Sven when in Germany lol.
I think you'll agree that if you shoot me in the arm, it doesnt justify me shooting the next poster in the arm. They were both being tossers at the time, although Mike was in much better fighting condition that Roy.
Don't hate on Calzaghe for showboating in his last two fights. It took the man his whole career to get to that big stage; don't dare knock him for enjoying it.
that would have been twice the farce the Reid fight was. it would have made for great comedy see how the Germans would attempt to screw over a guy who had clearly won every round
he was fun to watch, unorthodox, flashy style, busy, liked to mix it up and trade, gave it his all what more could you ask for
the sick thing is they would try. I can see the ref warning Joe for slapping with his wrists, which would be fair in a way, but they would take it to the extreme and dock him multiple points for it, therefore Ottke scrapes a SD. joke, but serious they would do it. I think only Roy Jones would be safe going there, such was his skill level he would knock Otkke out with one blow and shut up the Sven contingent for good. I really wish he had.
So you ARE putting that statement on record. How is the Hopkins win underrated when Hopkins had already lost TWICE TO JERMAINE TAYLOR AT 160 YEARS BEFORE HE FOUGHT CALZAGHE?And Jones was "COMING OFF THE BEST WIN STREAK OF HIS CAREER"lol when he lost to Calzaghe?Just what victories during that streak would indicate that? And those 2 victories would indicate JC is the best ever at 175?And just for the record,he's a tidbit of info for you.Sugar Ray Leonard NEVER fought above the 168 pound limit in his career.I've NO IDEA why you put him the group at 175.Not once.Besides,NOBODY I know would put SRR among the pantheon of the greatest 175 pounders ever ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING HE NEVER WON THE TITLE AT THAT WEIGHT AND WAS STOPPED WHEN HE VENTURED THERE,lol.Oh,I get it.Yours is a wind up contri.Good job!!!BTW,what part of NI are you from?My family and my wife's family are from Mayobridge,Co,Down and Whitecross,Co Armagh.
I actually found it hilarious when he did that to RJJ in their fight. He could have really beat RJJ even worse but he carried him the last few rounds alot of people tend to forget about that.
respect for the roadwork and mindset to last all that time, but if it took Joe his whole career to get to that stage, it begs the question why he left it so long to have defining fights. And why he'd pick two oldies he could outlast. Seems a shitty little stage if you've been working towards it your whole life. Dawson, Pavlik and perhaps the emerging Ward would have been the real big stage, but at least one of them would have ended his unbeaten record, so I can see why he chose the little league even for his career pinnacle. I think his desire to artificially extend his unbeaten record by doing this really backfired on him, tbh. If he'd took on better quality and sucked up the inevitable defeat or two then he could be prouder of his acheivements.
There was alot of 'how dare he act like that with RJJ' sort of stuff going around, but the fact is that Roy signed for the fight, both guys had respect for eachother, and put on a decent show.
