Contradictory statements. He did not participate at the Olympic games. He fought in the American trials to see who would compete For the USA at the Olympics... and he lost.

I was under the impression that they were held at the US Olympic Training Center and the fights are in the library at the US Olympic Training Center, and he was wearing a blue US Olympic Team Outfit..... and afterwards, being the runner up, he was invited to go to Beijing, but chose to turn Pro.... but you might be right.
US Olympic Training Center is a facility to train for the Olympics, it isn't the Olympics. Did he go to China and compete in the 2008 Olympics, the answer is no. Not an Olympian.
