The fact he performed so admirably against floyd may weather hasn't done him any harm either, huge fanbase. People are intrigued how much of a difference pedro Diaz is making after his good displays against Floyd and Margo.

    Many reasons

    1. Never in a boring fight, win or lose
    2. PRican although he is less loved than Tito was
    3. Honest, clean fighter. . .not a PED disgrace
    4. Unlike financially myopic latino fighters like Sergio, Miguel actually took the time to learn to communicate in English
    5. Fights the best

Not sure about the premise of the question but supposing he is, it will be down to the divisions he fights in, technically sound(looks good boxing) and a record that essentially only has losses to the other two. He also gets sympathy for being cheated by Margarito. Also Puerto Rico.

He's a b-level fighter who got the beats from margarito and pac. Plus floyd decisioned him. The pr community - who represents boxing to the fullest need someone to claim since tito.. Cotto is a good fighter but nothing more..

Because HBO announcers were applauding him on his level of competition by his 20th fight.

I havnt been down to pr since last year but I remember being there for the Margarito fight and it looked like he was finally getting the love from the people that he deserved, since your location says your in pr how do you see it? do you think people in the island will ever give him the support tito had? Cause Im in texas and honestly the ricans over here I think like him more then they liked tito lol (im 50/50)

He's a classy guy who has proved himself as a very good fighter, he's constantly in good, entertaining fights, he gives it his all, fights the best, and he has a major following from PR.

    End of story.
