They both are well-sculpted but thats where the similarities end. Holy is the better all-round fighter

This would be a helluva fight. I might go with Norton in this one.

Evander could be blunted by a good jab and Kenny had one. Kenny Norton was also better defensively. Both were good punchers not great. I see this one going the distance.

    Both guys had underated lefthooks.

Well, Holyfield did much better against punchers than Norton.

I can see Norton getting blasted out of the ring against fighters like Bowe, Tyson, Lewis.

But Norton almost beat prime Holmes while prime Holyfield almost lost to a 43 yr old Holmes. Some say Evander really lost that fight.
I also think that Holyfield wouldn't do as well against Ali as Norton did.

Based on that I would have to go with Norton. But Ali and Holmes weren't as good on the inside as Holyfield was. And I just can't get that brilliant performance against Tyson out of my head.

And what about Michael Moorer? Reminds me somewhat of Norton, but he's not as big and strong as Norton. Seriously, you can debate this all day long, but the fact is that those two are even fighters and when they meet, it can go either way.

I don't think Norton's jab is as good as Bowe's or Lewis'. I also think that Holyfield could get inside Wladimir Klitschko, who posseses a more dangerous jab than Norton.

No, it goes to the judges.

I don't think the fight would be that great, by the way. I'd be more interested in how Joe Louis does against modern boxers. Him against Holyfield.

Or Ali vs. Vitali ... Holmes vs. Lewis.

Holyfield could have beaten quite a few fighters who could've beaten Norton. However,Ken had the style that would have given Evander a lot of trouble. I actually feel that this fight has the potential to be a hypothetical classic.

Norton by close decision in an action packed fight.

The big difference between them is that Norton didn't at all have that warrior's mentaility. When the stakes got really high, with punchers of brutal power, Norton couldn't conduct himself as a true pro should. Holyfield on the other hand held perhaps too few fears of that kind.

But going forward against lighter punching boxers Norton was almost complete. Strong, great stamina, good punch, very good defence, agressive but cunning, excellent punch selection and body attack, etc, etc.

Have no real problem seeing him beating Holyfield, but who can say.

Holyfield was far more rugged and capable against thunderous punchers...but he too would have been eaten alive by the young George Foreman...that's another similarity I see between the two.

Holyfield's uppercuts would work well for him here.
