I still want to see this fight.... It wont mean as much as it would have 2 years ago, but would still be better than most other fights for Pac and Floyd.

JMM is the reason the fight lost its shine..

after the 3rd Pac fight people realized Pac isn't on the same level as Mayweather.

So they should ignore the revneue numbers, income, and ppv numbers is what your saying?:huh

How does that make for good business?:think

My saying is that they should follow the past numbers amongst common opponents. That's the most fair way to do it.

So with that said, and I'm telling you that my saying is based 95% on the numbers (PPV #'s, revenue produced, income of each fighter), with other small factors being my other 5% as to why one fighters deserves more or less, that I'm wrong for thinking that way?

You don't even see that your way guarantee's one fighter (Manny) to make more than double anything he has ever made, while the other fighter would take a paycut from fighting Shane Mosley, Victor Ortiz, and Miguel Cotto.

Your way says a guarantee'd 40 percent to the loser...Floyd gets raped at the table as this would guarantee Manny almost double anything he has ever made if he lost.

yes, or else the fight will not be made; their egos are too big (haven't you noticed?). No one will budge. I am speaking as a fan of boxing. All this talk is the reason we don't see fights that we want to see. Sad that even the fans see it the money way. Make the fight, winner gets 60 percent, hell make it 70 percent for the winner. The winner will make more money.

He also won it a catchweight, still his only win against a top 10 type opponent in 5 tries

Dude, 60/40 is very generous to Floyd, it'd mean he's a 50% better draw. The numbers don't add up for that.

You're also serving up a lot of dodgy numbers, foremost that Pac would be making twice his career best with Floyd's 40m offer. It's nowhere near, more like 10% above his best.

I'm not one bit surprised you didn't know about the CW for that fight.

    Your way leaves it with judges...see Lara-Williams or Whitaker-Chavez or Pacquiao-Marquez 3, or Pacquiao-Bradley...

So that would leave temptation and corruption.

On top of that, with your way, one fighter gets to make almost a double career high payday if he loses (Pacquiao), while another fighter would take a paycut if he lost (Mayweather).

So that isn't fair and also would leave money in the hands of a judge which is a big no in boxing.
