He totally fits the Canelo opponent profile: 1. Hispanic last name. 2. Started at 140 3. Fought at 140 recently. 4. Now fights at 147. Using this formula, we can probably predict Canelo's entire career path.

everything correct here other than canelo is closer to 5'7" than 5'9". josesito is listed at 5'9.5" and there was at least a two-inch difference when canelo wasnt wearing his lifts.

no, he has to make title defenses against ranked fighters in his division. do you know what that means? that means fighters that are fighting at 154, not 147 or 140.
