Why would Haye fight Frazier when theoretically if he had a time machine to pick up prime Frazier he could obviously just have got Ali from the same period. Haye doesn't need to fight the likes of Frazier when he would have just won anyway, it would prove nothing.
Haye is not a big heavyweight, while he has an impressive physique he would only have 5-10lbs weight advantage at best against prime Frazier. Haye has a punchers chance early on as Frazier tends to start slowly but once Frazier get's going he would chew up Haye and spit him out in 6-8 rounds. Haye struggled with the presure Mormeck applied in their fight and was tiring under the pressure Chisora was applying before getting the KO. Can you imagine how he would deal with Frazier's superior work rate and pressure. Frazier's body shots and insane pressure would inevitably have Haye gassed by the middle rounds leaving him ripe for one of Frazier's signature left hooks. Bad style match up for Haye, practically a mismatch.

Haye is about the same size as Ali and Frazier is really a bad matchup but I think Haye has learned to fight better when pressured as we've seen in his fight with Chisora and Frazier doesn't like big punchers which Haye is. Chisora has exactly the same style as Frazier (of course he isn't as good) but has a better chin is bigger, slower, punches much lighter and is much less skilled that's why I give Haye a punchers chance in the first half of the fight
glover, "Modern training?" What the hell does that mean? We are talking about Ali, not Jim Corbett. Ali is on film, and is proven to be one of the most talented men to step in the ring.. I think you underrate toughness and grit in boxing, it has always been there and even carried some of the early greats more than their skills... Not only did Ali have better skills than Haye, but he is tougher.. Haye should not be spoken in the same sentence as Ali, it is a disgrace to the sport. Hell, Roy Jones' peak was nearly 20 years ago, and I still have yet to see a "modern trained" fighter look even close to his ability.. Why is that? Because certain fighters are timeless.. Their greatness and ability would have success in any era, Ali was one of these fighters, Frazier was one of these fighters... Haye is not. Haye would not have even climbed in the ring with them. One thing about fighters from this "modern trained" era, most don't seem to want to test their toughness. They are more than willing to put their "modern skills" on display though.
Haye is not as big as Ali. Sorry. Yes he's defined but he was also a cruiser for most of his career. Ali as a pro was always well over 200 pounds and was a legit 6'3." Haye is listed at 6'3" I'd say he's 6'1" or 6'2" but whatever. Ali had a naturally bigger frame and bone density. The only think Haye has over Ali is power. Ali has the chin,the stamina,the skill and the fearlessness. Frazier vs Haye is a win for Joe. Haye could hurt Joe sure but Haye is not Foreman! Joe by KO inside 5. Joe's pressure style,punch output,stamina,toughness etc Chisora is a poor man's Joe. when Dereck got close he did nothing. when Joe gets close he hits you 6 times. Look at Joe vs Jimmy Ellis!
