As you may of seen Scott Quigg had his interim title upgraded to the regular version of the WBA strap.

So do you consider Scott Quigg a legitimate World Title holder as Rigondeax holds the WBA (Super) Super Bantamweight title.

The WBA Champion is Guillermo Rigondeaux.

Scott Quigg's WBA title is completely meaningless, anyone who thinks he's a real world champion in any way even after his fight with Yoandris Salinas is deluded.

As legit as Povetkin's WBA Heavyweight belt.

    In other words, meaningless.

regardless what you call this belt its only a matter of time until Quigg is a bonafide World Champion.. I am hoping of very big things from Quigg for a long time .seems to have it all to me

As the WBA have "Super" Champions then I see the "Regular" belt just being an interim title, to me its as much of a World Title as the WBC "Silver" belts.

One organisation should have one World Champion. Simple. So if Quigg hasn't beat Rigo then he's not the WBA's Super-Bantamweight Champion...

The WBA get to decide their title holders, thus any decision is 'legitimate' in that context. As for 'real'; that is an abstract term...

Rigondeaux is the 122 lb champ.

The rest are contenders and so forth.

I would agree Rigondeaux is currently the best of the lot, but that does not mean Quigg cannot be a title holder...

The top one from each of the WBC, WBA, IBF and WBO in my view can say they are real, proper, legitimate champs, any more than one from each organisation is just going too far.

It's a world title, WBA. It doesn't mean he's the best in the division. At the moment it's just one of the belts among the others. It's his time to build on this and become a great fighter.

Not a chance is it legitimate. WBA are a total disgrace and a stain on boxing.

How do you define 'the top one'?

Why do you only include the WBA, WBC, WBO and IBF?

What do you mean by 'real', 'proper' and 'legitimate'?
