One can't compare old champions like Holmes, Holy, Foreman or Hopkins fighting late with Jones. These guys knew how to take little punishment; Jones is having his clock cleaned, multiple times. I can't fathom why he would accept absorbing this punishment weren't for money problems. Never strike business deals while on steroids, i guess.
Multiple times? He has had his "clock cleaned" 3 times in 70 professional fights. I dont buy the notion that he idea that he has money problems. Hes been the colour commentator for HBO for the past decade. Hes also picking up easy money for fighting club fighters, as well as being a trainer to fighters
Roy Jones is so broke he got money from the Russians to take up Russian citizenship and actually live there. Nobody in their right mind would do that unless they're broke as hell.
4 and 5 years ago, Danny Green and Lebedev almost put him in a coma. Don't tell me these kos don't have an effect on the brain. I can barely understand his HBO commentary. In a few years time, him and Toney will be able to communicate by deaf signs, if they can still control their arms, that is.
