I don't get why he's calling out Derry. It's like the whole Frich vs Khan Twitter beef: what's the point of 2 fighters syirring it up on social media, if there is no prospect of them actually fighting each other. Nobody said Derry is racist but he did say something that is racist, that's the issue people have, as well as people who didn't have a problem with Derry saying that because they don't like Patel which is far worse, and Derry should get a punishment from the board for it IMO And spencer fearon is a ****ing moron anyway
Yes if fury is getting constantly fined by the board and getting brought in for meetings for expressing pefectly normal views then it would be a double standard for Derry not to get fined for blatant racism
I'd say with fury there is a bit of interpretation there (don't think there's anything wrong with being anti abortion for example even if I don't totally agree with his standpoint but can see how some wouldn be very offended by it), with Derry's comments there very little leeway he has, even if Patel was a total tit beforehand to him it's no excuse to say that, that he deleted the tweet says everything. And if he beats Flanagan he's going to get a ton of **** thrown his way, right now the press doesn't care about him but if he wins he becomes relevant and he'd have nobody to blame but himself if that happens after win or in the buildup to the fight, totally idiotic from him really considering it could be a massive distraction for him in the buildup
