If Jack fights him like he did Willard, is patient and circles and waits for big openings, he could have some early success. Sooner or later, prime George's footwork, much quicker and better schooled than Jess', would narrow the window. If Jack doesn't KO him before this, it looks grim. I'm favoring George 80/20.

Excellent point, Somehow I don't see Dempsey holding up to Foreman's work of body punching.

See Frazier vs Foreman, maybe a little faster, Foreman pushes him off balance sticks that pole axe left jab out followed by a right hook or uppercut. Good night Jack.

Dempsey is one of the few swarmers who would have a very real chance against Foreman, because he could play the matador.

Trouble is that he is always going to be one miscalculation away from disaster.

Dempsey has the wheels and punching power to win this one but he is facing as devastating a puncher as they come. Dempsey would start as he did with Willard boxing in and out. Staying at distance side stepping and then bobbing under his opponents guard to get in close where Foremans sweeping punches are nullified. Here he lands quickly to body and head to the refs break...then the process resumes. George tries cutting the ring but Dempsey is too elusive. George's jab which is a formable weapon is nullified as Demosey is staying at long distance or in close. George has trouble timing him. If he can keep out of Foremans power shot range rounds go by and George gets more battered and more spent. After 7-10 rounds it's all Dempsey leading to at ko win in 12. Dempsey would have to fight the perfect game plan and he has the skills to pull it off.

Comparing cave man Willard to Foreman is ignorance ten fold.

Dempsey would not have a chance to "box", Foreman would put him on the backfoot immediately , force a fire fight and Good Night Dempsey.

But the fight would never happen, Foreman to black for Dempseys handlers.

It is hard to put somebody on the back foot, if they are circling you.

Dempsey bombs out foreman IMO...Foreman's lack of defense and swinging punches would spell disaster for him.thanks
