GG signed to fight Chris Eubank Jnr. He actually signed the contract. He then handed the contract back in, and then repeatedly asked what the hold up was at their end. We now know that the hold up was due to Snr's ego. He wanted full operational control over every aspect of the event. When he couldn't be reasoned with, Kell was offered the fight instead. Do you understand? Yes, the fight is rubbish. But Kell was ACCEPTED as a last minute REPLACEMENT to salvage the show and his long standing HBO date. GG didn't drag him anywhere. When the fight was signed, it was exactly 9 weeks to the day of the weigh-in, and they needed to do an official press conference before both fighters started their camps the following week. There wasn't time for a CW. I despair.
