Yeah, I mean it seems every time you run into something you don't like you throw up a roadblock of one kind or another "we're done here" being the most blatant so far.

A fighter giving up 30% of his bodyweight is on the absolute extremes, the outer edges. Two fighhters of the same class fighters with 25-35% difference in bodyweight the number where the smaller fighter has won is exceptionally rare; that's what makes it extreme. I can think of only one example.

Your ten pound example equates to 6%. This is much more likely to occur.

Now, i've allowed for diminishing returns upon delivery in the HW class. Is there some other earth shattering fact that you'd like to share with us that would help tip the balance in your favour? Why not share it? You've grossly underestimated my intelligence, but perhaps everyone else's, also? Perhaps we could benefit from this insight?

Some good points were brought up on both sides of the debate in this thread and I look at this topic from a new perspective although keeping the same stance. Thanks everyone for the good arguments so far.

Also, for those that didn't read the OP this is a thread regarding heavyweight match ups.

Once again I will take the bait.

It is impossible for two fighters of different weight but same punching technique/speed to punch with the same power. Do you deny this?

Well, you haven't really "taken the bait" from the post you've quoted. In fact, you've addressed absolutely nothing in the post while demanding of me a second response to a post i've already addressed.

Generally, i'd regard that as very impolite posting, not to mention something of a duck, but as you seem to need to hear it again:

No, i don't deny it. Didn't deny it in fact, in an earlier post addressing the issue.

So since you don't deny it then you would agree that it is impossible for two fighters to be equal in all ways except weight.

I've already agreed with that three times now.

I didn't acknowledge anything in your post because they were either accusations upon my character or something we have already discussed.

Also notice how it is you and the people who disagree with me on this subject that start the name calling, trash talking, and misrepresentation of my character. Not me.

Then why did you say that "all things being equal who would win?"

It has no relevance to the thread and is impossible and not even time would change it.

It's a hypothetical question designed to elicit a response which might shed light on the topic at hand. You said immediately that you didn't want to answer it, after which I asked a different hypothetical question more in keeping with your demands that strict adherence to reality be maintained at all times:

    Which you also completely ignored.

I think, over the course of five inexplicable posts, you have made your position absolutely clear on this matter.

Could we possibly move on to one of the other points I have raised that you have ignored, or even better get to the "we're done" that you promised me?

This isn't really true, is it? You've speculated upon having "vastly underestimated" my "intelligence", offered your opinion that i might be "a very sad individual", you used some unpleasant language that the swear filter had to deal with and called me "irrational" and "annoying".

This is certainly "name calling", probably the cursing passes for "trash talking" and probably calling me "sad" is an accusation upon my character.

None of this hurt my feelings in any way you understand, certainly no harm no foul, but i'd be careful about the "not me" attitude if you post that way.

I think I made my stance clear in one post lol.

I didn't answer the new hypothetical response originally because I wasn't going to move on to your point when you failed to address my which I asked first. That is what you are confusing for road blocks. I could just as easily have said the same as you did. The wrong is with you not me.

    The smaller guy.

This is nonsense. I addressed your point at the second time of asking:

    http://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/why-does-size-matter.572366/page-46#post-18209797

You continued to ask and re-ask it while ignoring everything else I wrote.

That's four times after I answered you.

You started the demeaning talk when you said this:

Just because I said something that the swear filter said doesn't mean I was talking ****, name calling, or demeaning character. I swear when I talk as most people do, get over it.

If that is what qualifies as "demeaning" then you started it pages and pages ago, long before i even posted here.

But my point isn't that I'm whiter than white, but rather that you are not.

There is nothing for me to get over. As I said to you:

Please try to read and respond to what I actually write, rather than just your own feelings about it.
