Ryabinsky pointed out that, although Povetkin had provided the sample last Tuesday, VADA (Voluntary Anti-Doping Association) chose to notify the fighters of the allegedly failed test only at the last minute, on Saturday. “This is not normal practice, it’s very strange,” Ryabinsky said. “It’s the second time that right before the fight, all of a sudden, we get a ‘dirty’ test result – one and only, with all others coming clean. This happened before the fight with Wilder, when there had been five tests, and the fourth allegedly turned out to be dirty, while the fifth came out clean again. In the long run, Povetkin was acquitted, but the bout with Wilder was cancelled. Looks like history is repeating itself with Stiverne right now."

It is strange, lets see evidence of Povetkin passing drug tests for USADA or UKAD or other reputable drug testing agencies, I would really love to believe Povetkin, I just need more proof.

I must admit until I read this I couldn't work out why they chose to break the news straight before the fight,very odd from the drug testing agency in my opinion and yes the fact that Stiverne was allowed to pay off a fine for his is strange no?

But he's failed a drugs test, right? I mean, have I got that wrong? You can't call a boxer with a failed test to his name 'probably the cleanest heavyweight in the game'. Clearly, there are others on PEDs who have not been caught but Ortiz has. By definition he cannot be the cleanest....

Ortiz did PEDs in the past, but doesn't seem to be on anything currently.
Povetkin actually never tested positive for anything.

Meldonium and blood pressure medication doesn't count.
