Would Calzaghe have been the best ever if his hands had stayed injury free?

A lot of hitting and holding in there. Also looks like a lot of quick stoppages. Not impressed with the power. Not one punch KO type power, just beats guys into submission. Still a damn good fighter.

That is true, but I gave you an alternative point to see and it had you instantly started to break down

Who f*ckin cares Failey. Go beg for attention from someone else. Or better yet, call your boys and go play make believe in your clubhouse like you used to.

Why would you think im begging for attention or in particular your attention by answering a post on an open forum?
You made a comment and when I put an alternative forward you have got all upset and think its begging for attention. You need to get out more

I asked a question, but instead of answering it, you've posted nothing links that we've seen a hundred times before.

It's just a joke. And to be honest, I don't believe that you really believe that Joe wanted the fight.

Again, the above was just a smokescreen to fool people.

One of the articles is from 2000, which was just a year after he'd said he wasn't chasing Roy because he didn't want tough fights.

Again, last year, Joe.Boxer posted 2 post-fight interviews from 2001, where Joe and Frank again called Roy out. And I've already told you what Frank said. He said: "Come and fight for Joe's belt on Showtime"

Now to you: That's evidence that Joe and Frank were serious.

To me and other knowledgeable fans: It was an absolute joke.

Again, Roy had an exclusive contract with HBO. In 2001, he'd been with HBO for 9 years. Not only that, it was well publicised that he'd recently just signed a new 6 fight contract extension. So there's 2 things to consider:

    1. It wasn't viable.

    2. Why would the world's best fighter want to drop back down to a division that he'd left 5 years earlier, to fight a relatively unknown fighter, for a lightly regarded belt??

    It's a JOKE!

The other link is from 2002.

To be honest, I don't even know where to start.

First off, how did Frank have the nerve to say that Roy makes a living fighting nobodies?

He then said that Roy had priced himself out of a fight with Hopkins, even though we know it was Hopkins who's priced himself out of the fight.

The article also states that Frank would like the fight in Wales. Again, no mention of Joe travelling to the U.S. or fighting at LHW.

We also know from an interview with Joe conducted the following year in 2003, that Joe wanted huge money to fight Roy.

Now you keep saying that I waffle and I don't answer your questions. Well can you kindly answer the following questions:

How could the fight have been viable, when both guys would have wanted huge money, yet there was no real demand for the fight?

Why would Frank have flown to New York to talk to Roy's representatives, when Roy had told the boxing world in his post-fight interview with Woods, that it was Ruiz or Tarver next? Also, Roy's representatives had already negotiated with Ruiz's team.

Go to the 32 min mark of the following video:

Here's another interview with Brian Kenney, from ESPN's documentary - The life. Go to the 21 min mark of the video. It was conducted just after the weigh-in with Woods:

Neither interview even mentions Joe as a possibility.

When you strip it all down and look at things logically, again, the articles are just nonsense. They're nothing more than articles from GBP trying to kid to people that they genuinely want a Gennady Golovkin fight.

Now instead of accusing me of waffling, try and actually refute my points.

I don't have to add anything.

    My point was:

Nobody can blame Frank for Joe's career, because Joe was more than happy to travel the road that Frank had mapped out.

Regarding your question, it's already been answered.

I just don't give a sh*t about your opinion, it's as simple at that Failey. While you clearly value mine enough to prance around me like a neglected lap dog.

    You didnt ask a question.
    You made a statement
    Another statement
Its funny how you take it as literal if its one way but when shown a link the other way its a smokescreen. Thats you summed up there
If you read that article it also says he would be up for it but wanted to earn well from it. Nothing odd about that and he was looking at the Jones fight around the time of Sheika and Woods. That is mentioned. Of course that would be the smokescreen lol
I would like to have seen those. But of course that must be the smokescreen. You really are looking foolish now.
I even showed you when Calzaghe called out Jones live on air

Will read the rest later but from what I have read so far it seems you have been given proof and links and actively choose not to believe any and thats not a good advert for you

Im not sure why you think yourself that important but it seems odd that you make this comment yet have replied to me every time also and with these particular comments. Almost like you want attention. Im discussing boxing yet you seem to want to talk about me and yourself. Bit odd Lance
