I have watched tape thats why Izu is faster ,he throws full force more too and in more distinct combinations. Parkers chin is way up in the air and EASILY hittable. Izu is in a croutched position and moves at different angles...Parker not so much. I could see Izus impact when he hits it is different. Who would win? Probably Parker bc hes at a better stage now. but talent wise Izu has more to work with, he needs to be better defensivley bc hes not as durable as Parker, but parker has not taken actual power shots from real HW punchers yet.
Takam would not beat Breazeale and neither would undersized Ruiz. I would give slight edge to Parker over Izu for proven durabilty but thats the only reason. i also am sure Breazeale will catch up to Izu on the voting poll...he seems to be all of a sudden gaining momentum on here! i could swear there was like 4 voted for Breazeale before the fight started?
Izu has far more potential than Breazeale he was putting a shellacking on him. What Izu did was punch himself out and he stayed in front of the bigger man thinking he was going to stop Breazeale. I'm not too sure, but it seemed Izu didn't have a plan B and he looked like a fighter that hadn't gone the distance many times. No use having all that talent if it's only goin to last you 2-3 rounds. And I'm pretty sure Breazeale was a huge step up in competition for Izu too, the more reason to prepare for a 10-12 round fight. Great heavyweight talent, but poor preparation and poor gameplan.
Yep, let's hope Izu can come back strong. Let's not forget that a certain Wlad Klitschko once punched himself out in similar fashion against Ross Purrity.
Well you have to go against the grind most of the time and actually see whats going on. If i have a ranked guy somewhere trust me ...hes there for a reason and its not bc i looked up his resume bc then i wouldnt need to look at actual skills /attributes which is whats first important when matching guys.. lol
Very true, very true. Izu alil too anxious to join Joshua and Parker in the heavyweight mix. He's not ready yet.
Izu is an elite fighter ,however the differance using Wlad was he literally battered Purity and it wasnt even close in skill. Breazeale is no cake walk and ppl are overlooking this. izu hits HARD. Im pretty good at judging power and he can punch. this also tells me besides Breazeale making many difficult fights for everyone but Izu is better than guys that have already got title shots. He knocks out Browne/Ruiz and Stivern.
After this week ...here is a revamped look at ACTUAL rankings based on SKILL and head to head match ups...NOT who didnt fight this or that guy resume garbage. This would be the TOP guys if they were in REAL life had to selected.I took some down and put some over recent listings. Yes i know its MADNESS! 1/ Joshua 2/ Klitchko 3/ Haye 4/ Ortiz 5/ Wilder 6/ Parker 7/ Whyte 8/ Breazeale 9/ Izu 10/ Pulev Secondary bracket under top 10 fighters...... 1/ Miller 2/ Ruiz 3/ Granat 4/ Washington 5/ Briggs 6/ Jennings 7/ chisora 8/ Stivern 9/ Helenius 10/ Wach
Where is Chisora? He fought Whyte really close. Also I can't see why you rate Briggs, guy is very old and to beat him you just need to run for 3 rounds and then he's done. The guy above, Jennings, will beat him if they fight.
True i did the list on the fly....i added him. Briggs knocks out anyone i have him ranked over. Jennings would not stand up to Briggs,he gets knocked out inside 5 rnds based on their recent fights. Skills and attributes just dont just entirely disappear Briggs is a live wire. Until that someone runs around and he gasses and loses ..well he stays. lol please note some guys arent exactly fleet footed and made to order for the revived Briggs to knock out who are actually ranked over him in OFFICIAL rankings...you will see i am right if he fights them. He will hammer many guys out if he comes in cardio shape.
I could oppose some rankings list but it is some subjective and to be honest most of the top guys in the division have fought not anyone or even each other so it's hard to then have a solid basis on rating other than the eye test and preference
Well when you use the ( hasnt fought anyone ) well why do they need to fight anyone and who are these someones? Its not difficult at all to take two fighters and access who has the advantage or what skill level they are on. Why would it be? You simply look at video footage in their fights and see strengths vs weaknesses. If we had a fair ranking system you would have competitve fights instead you get Stivern vs Wilder rehash all over again .Briggs vs Oquendo and so on........ If you kept all my top ten guys and let them fight it out with NUMEROUS match ups i guarantee you would see more Breazeale vs Izu like matches.Based on the majority here wouldnt have Izu ranked on his loss which would be dumb. Why take out a guy more skilled and improving...makes no sense..which why i have him ranked around where he should be.
I am an Izu fan but I essentially subscribe to the "proof is in the pudding" thing. Basically our evidence right now is he couldn't knock Breazeale out, and he couldn't survive to earn the decision. He may learn, he may not. We don't know anything more than what we've seen him do "in the heat of the moment" so really you can't but rank Breazeale higher than him. The next thing is, and I've mentioned this a few times on here - "rankings" are very tricky when "styles make fights". You could say Anthony Joshua is #1 overall, but if you ranked his #1 - 5 most loseable fights they may not match #2-#6 ranked guys, if that makes sense? I see rankings as "#2 is most likely to beat #3, #4, #5..." etc... and the "most likely" thing highlights that there is no guarantee. This is why it's fun to watch, by the start of the 3rd round who seriously would have predicted the fight to end how it ended?
Breazeale is ranked over Izu ( HE WON ) As stated my rankings are logical and ive proving that time and time again in actual match ups almost always. the only thing is after my top ten where fighters are still question marks to me...i have MY top ten down to a tee which is why they are ranked over the guys not top 10. Rankings after that is more tricky.
